This man who has lost touch with the society has spoken again.

In an interview with the Straits Times published on 5 April on Mas Selamat Kastari's escape, LKY said "Singaporeans are being complacent when they believe that the Government will take care of all security matters". He went on further to elaborate that we should not blame the Government for fostering this complacency because complacency sets in when a "people have not suffered any shock of setback for a long time".

This man who used to be my idol when i was young is now blabbing garbage.

As usual when we face any problems, the people either take the blame or take the bitter medicine. He calls Singaporeans as being complacent. Excuse me Sir, I think we, the hardworking and poor Singaporeans are not being complacent but rather stupid to be hoodwinked into thinking that we can have a competent group of Garhman just by paying them millions of dollars. Who was it who kept telling us we need to pay more to get a clean, efficient and competent Garhman? So this is being competent? Wow, going by your definition George Bush should be paid more.

ISD is supposed to be heavily guarded, does LKY suppose that we can bother about what is inside especially afterall our dear Garhman likes to tell us, these are sensitive areas, we cannot or should not bother? Who were the ones who were complacent? The policy makers in MHA who did not put in more checks? Here's the joke. The Garhman can crack their brains to think of all new ERP Gantries to tax on people, but they cannot of ways to keep a dangerous terrorist in jail. Who is being complacent?

MHA took 4 hours to alert the public because they felt that this Mas Selamat is not dangerous. Is this another act of complaceny? The Police kept giving us wrong information. That's also another act of complaceny? Civil Service and Garhman shouldn't be blamed for all these. Your Minister, WKS gave a mona lisa smile in parliament when he touched on this escape. He is being camera shy and not being complacent?

LKY has just shown us a fine example, why people should not work beyond 80 years-old. Step down, old man.

Did u ever notice this ? Every time when something turns out right .. These greedy vultures wud be the first to stretch out their grubby claws to claim credit.. it's 'I did this .. I did that '

When a fiasco happened, it becomes .. 'We were this, We were that '

Thick skin to earn millions but ball-less to take responsibilities.

Very true indeed. These ball-less souls only know how to claim credits but wash off all responsibilities. I hope people remember what these ball-less souls said and did. I for one, will remember that esp when polling day comes, i will post all these on the blog. :P

Responsibilty and accountibility
Responsibility and accountability are two words that are non existent in the PAP vocabulary. Boasting, however is considered a virtue.

ha ha ha well, he is old mah. it's a fact. I think there are these politicians around but we don't have to accept it. These people are elected by people. However, instead of listening to people, they rule us more with an iron fist and start criticising us. Let them do all they want now, but we can retaliate. Don't ever accept it as a fate.

Old man or not. I can't wait to celebrate his death, and that of his useless, effemninate son as well.

Let's be positive.. Empires do not last more than 3 generations. He did have his moments when he was young, but his current behaviour and deameanour had certainly wiped off whatever goodwill he accumulated in the past.

Karma is the greatest equaliser in life Citi - whatever is being dished out now will come back to hit him squarely between his jaundiced eyes... maybe not this generation but it will surely come.

We will see.. we will see....

The more citizens vote for them to stay in power, the worse it will become for the rights of the citizens. People just don't get it. We are seeing citizens being side stepped in favour of the STATE which has become a totally different entity from the CITIZENS. Jobs/full sponsorships at universities etc for Foreigners because of a wrong policy of Stop @ Two just to name a few areas. GIC/Temasek has no accountability NOR RETURNS for the CITIZENS when the funds are clearly OURS. Not one cent came back to my pocket? What the....

Pretty insightful post. Never thought that it was this simple after all. I had spent a good deal of my time looking for someone to explain this subject clearly and you’re the only one that ever did that. Kudos to you! Keep it up
